生于上海, 2006毕业于法国埃克斯普罗旺斯高等艺术学院。曾参与创建艺术家团体“组织” 。2016年获得亚洲文化协会视觉艺术奖助金。徐喆的创作媒介多样，涉及影像、摄影、声音实践。近期的创作聚焦于考察，调用历史记忆及其所附身的媒介。在将对象 还原与质疑的背反中创造一种感知体验，以期回应我们所身处的时代。
Born in Shanghai, he graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence, France in 2006. Xu zhe was involved in the founding of the artist group "ZuZhi". He received the Asian Cultural Council Visual Arts Fellowship in 2016, and is currently teaching at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. Xu zhe works in a variety of media, including video, photography, and sound installation. Recent works have focused on examining and invoking historical memory and the media through which it is conveyed. By creating a sensory experience that both restores and questions the object, these works aim to respond to the era in which we live.
